Gulf of America Shrimp Boil Instructions
Prepare the Pot
- Fill a large pot with enough water to completely cover the seafood.
- Bring the water to a rolling boil.
Add Seasoning
- Stir in Gulf of America Shrimp Boil until well dissolved.
Cook the Shrimp
- Carefully add shrimp to the boiling water.
- Boil for 3 minutes.
Cool & Soak
- Turn off the heat.
- Add ice to the pot to quickly cool the water.
- Let the shrimp soak for 5 minutes to absorb all that wonderful flavor.
Serve & Enjoy
- Drain and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces and sides.

Grilled Veggie & Shrimp Skewers with Rex Coastal Seasoning
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 yellow squash, sliced thick
- 1 zucchini, sliced into thick rounds
- 1 red onion, cut into wedges
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2–3 Tbsp Gulf of America Coastal Seasoning
- 8–10 wooden or metal skewers (soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes if using)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
Prep the Shrimp & Veggies
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle generously with Gulf of America Coastal Seasoning. and toss
Assemble Skewers
Grill
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Place skewers on the grill and cook 2–3 minutes per side, until shrimp are pink and veggies are tender with light char marks.
- Flavor Boost: Brush skewers with melted butter and an extra sprinkle extra Seasoning right off the grill.

Southern Fried Catfish with Gulf of America Fish Fry
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 4 catfish fillets (about 6–8 oz each)
- 1 bag Gulf of America Fish Fry mix
- 1 cup buttermilk (or milk with a splash of lemon juice)
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp hot sauce (Rex Pepper Sauce, etc)
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
Prep the Catfish
- Rinse catfish fillets and pat dry with paper towels.
Set Up the Dredge
- In one shallow dish, whisk together buttermilk, egg, and hot sauce.
- In another dish, pour Gulf of America Fish Fry mix.
Coat the Fish
- Dip each catfish fillet into the buttermilk mixture, letting excess drip off.
- Dredge in the Fish Fry mix, pressing lightly so the coating sticks.
- Place coated fillets on a wire rack for 5 minutes so the crust sets.
Fry
- Heat 1–2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F.
- Fry catfish fillets 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on a paper-towel-lined plate.
Quick Tips
- For extra crunch, double dip: coat fish in Fish Fry → buttermilk → Fish Fry again.
- Works just as well with other fish (tilapia, cod, or redfish).
